Habitat for Humanity of Hendricks County is a non-profit 501c(3) organization and donations of lots, buildings, household items and monies may be tax deducible.   All donors should contact their tax advisor for advise.

On a regular basis, HCHFH receives calls from of people wanting to donate new and used windows, cabinets, appliances, building materials, light fixtures, tools, etc.  Many affiliates (including Boone County, Indianapolis, Morgan County & Monroe County) run  re-stores to sell these donated item to the public at bargain prices.  These funds are then used to support our Habitat building program.   A feasibility study was conducted in 2004 which indicates  that a re-store would  benefit our affiliate as well.   The key to success is finding  a suitable building of 4000 to 6000 sq ft at a reasonable cost.

So far we have been unable to locate such a building due to the high cost of commercial property in Hendricks County.  We continue in our search for such a building and welcome any assistance available.
