Habitat For Humanity's Annual Fund Raising Banquet was a  Hugh success!

One of  Habitat for Humanity of Hendricks County's  major fund raising activities each year is your Fund Raising Banquet held in the spring.

This year,  the banquet was held at the Connection Point in Brownsburg on May 10th.  Fazoli's catered the dinner.

The guest speaker was Jim Sorgi,  Quarterback of the Indianapolis Colts who spoke of his Habitat experiences and answered questions from the audience about his role with the Colts and the 2007 Super Bowl.  Jim was very gracious and humorous and made a great impression with the audience.

The Master of Ceremonies was Mark Patrick who likewise was very entertaining as he and Jim Sorgi conducted a live auction featuring autographed items by Jim Sorgi and Ben Utecht of the Colts. This was followed by awards presentation for the "best dressed Colt Fan" and "best dressed Colts Cheerleader".  Jim remained after the closing to do autographs for those in attendance.

A total of about 150 people attended the banquet helping to raise over $8,000 towards our Mission of providing simple, decent, affordable housing for our Habitat Partner Families.   We thank all those who attended this event and in particular want to thank Jim Sorgi,  Mark Patrick, Fazoli's and the Connection Point for partnering with Habitat for Humanity to make this annual dinner our best ever.
